Dave Stone came to Vernon Township to be Township Manager when hired by the Board of Supervisors in July, 1989. Mr. Stone is a graduate of Allegheny College. Prior the being hired by Vernon Township, he was the Manager of Cambridge Springs Borough. He remains active in the Allegheny Alumni events. He is also serves in many of the local community associations such as the Chamber of Commerce to promote growth in Vernon Township.

Lori Swavey was hired by the Vernon Township Supervisors in June 2005. Prior to being hired at Vernon Township, Lori was employed in the office at the borough of Edinboro for 10 years. She brings with her to Vernon Township a strong background of local government office skills and is a member of the PLGSA. She also attends the COG meetings.

Vernon Township Road Department works hard at maintaining the 54 miles of road within the Township. Many issues are handled by the Road Department such as paving, line painting, snow plowing, maintaining equipment, mowing berms, storm water management (cleaning out storm drains), street signs, traffic lights, installation of culvert pipes and much more. This department has 24/7 dedication to keeping all of the roads well maintained and as safe as possible for all who travel on the Township Roads.
