Roche Park has been in existence since 1970.
The property was once owned by Mr. & Mrs. Roche. At a Township meeting in November 1969, Mrs. Viola Roche announced that she and her husband desired to donate 10 to 20 acres for their land to Vernon Township for recreation purposes.
Located on Patricia Drive, Roche Park has grown as fast as the Township itself has grown.
The park has five pavilions, four ball fields, a basketball court, volleyball net, horseshoe pits, a full playground area, and two restroom facilities.
Surrounding the park is a paved fitness trail which is approximately one mile around and includes "fitness stations", which are handicapped accessible.
The pavilions are for public use, and are also available for rental.
